Though far from a perfect product due to cheap ownership, bad umpiring, and other concerns, baseball's continued innovation to catch up with both the NBA and NFL has certainly worked for 2023. 

Rises in attendance, TV ratings and plenty of other factors indicate that successful measures such as this one will continue to move the game forward.
